Why “breaking gray”?

Breaking Gray


Jesus never said a positive word about doubters.

Not once.

Don’t believe me?

MT 14:31- Jesus stretched out His hand and took hold of him, and said to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?”
MT  17:17- Jesus answered and said, “You unbelieving and perverted generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I put up with you?”
Lk 24:25- And he said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken!”

  • Seems like jesus expected faith and certain trust in Him
  • Seems like jesus characterized consistent doubt in the face of truth as perversion
  • Seems like he characterized those who doubted the word of God as “foolish”
  • Seems like doubt was something he tolerated but never celebrated

Now obviously none of us have the total faith that jesus demands. But there is a vast difference between saying “lord I believe…
